I’m a time of deep personal enquiry this book is extraordinarily clear. Taking an approach which I have not encountered before. Direct, evocative with clear instruction so as not to loose your way. The author is deeply wise both in knowledge (psychology, neuroscience) and experience. A safe pair of hands to examine, explore and engage with emotions, so often denigrated or suppressed, as one of our key survival/thrive intelligences. If it resonates and you have the money, buy it (or loan from your local library!) you won’t regret it.

As an articulate empath,Karla McLaren clearly knows what she is talking about! This book is choc a bloc with information about what each emotion means and how to have access to those emotions and what they mean. I found at times that she failed to explain how certain things she recommended within the book could be achieved, perhaps she assumed anyone reading the book must be an empath, like her. But besides that, now I have a greater understanding that all emotions are trying to give information and instead of considering them as good or bad, to sit with them and understand the message contained. I wouldn't call this a light read, however for anyone who is curious about how they tick, I would highly recommend this book!
