This neat map is no substitute for an Ordnance Survey Map. It does seem to have the route marked quite clearly but the scale is an alien 1:40,000 and there are no mile-markers on the map which would have been a great help. 'Useful Information' is given in French and German as well as in English and it's hunt for the language you want (and a matter of opinion as to whether it's 'useful' in any case). Yes, the map is lightweight and a handy size and no doubt waterproof as advertised and I shall possibly carry it with me - along with each day's walk on the 1:25,000 OS Map (which of course also has no mile markers, but for me, they are easier to guestimate at 2.5 inches to the mile). At full price the map is considerably cheaper than the cost of 3 x OS Explorer Maps, but those three will have uses beyond the St Cuthbert's Way Walk. Read full review
