The Book is very nicely hard bound. Under the dust jacket the binding is Ducati (well almost) red. These interviews add a great deal to the story of how a superbike is brought to life in a relatively small factory such as Ducati.

About this product

Product Information

For Ducati, creating a replacement for the controversial 999 meant that the 1098 was nothing less than a make-or-break motorcycle. According to Ducati Corse director Claudio Domenicali, The bike's only mission is to really excite the customer.A Author Marc Cook goes behind the scenes at Ducati for exclusive interviews with the 1098's designers and engineers. Each tells his own story of the trials, tools, and technology used to create this revolutionary motorcycle as it evolved from the earliest design sketches to prototypes and test models. This evolution is revealed through hundreds of photographs that chronicle the bike's development through final manufacturing.
