Small box but big sound and features
Highly recommend this excellent easy to use quality sounding hifi unit. Sonically it can hold its own with much larger systems with separate components yet takes up little space. Excellent bass and soundstage probably unsurpassed at this price. STEER CLEAR!
After playing 5 CD's this thing decided to make a loud 'clicking' sound every time the CD was spinning - unbelievable! Very limited controls to tweak the sound and balance etc. Totally disappointed, I'm going back to my 15+ year old Technics CD player this thing was supposed to replace, it's still going strong and puts the Denon in the shade for build quality and most of all reliability. Great sound, small size.
In different locations I have a few music systems, Brennan, Marantz, and Yamaha. This unit is very neat, easy to set up and has a good sound. It is almost good as the Yamaha and about one quater of the size and half the price. High quality, compact with excellent performance.
Great product, excellent sound, good build quality and bling free appearance. But I don't find the controls easy to get my head round. Instructions on the CD are 80 odd pages long. Powerful all-rounder
I've had a couple of the Denon all-in-ones and this is probably the best in terms of the sound and the features, such as bluetooth. Clearly, it's all about the sound and this unit has scooped lots of awards including from What HiFi. The amp is nice and powerful - it sounds great through my Dali speakers and it does full justice (via a preamp) to my Riga turntable. The DAB radio is excellent (though I only really listen to Jazz FM and BBC Radio 4); the bluetooth is seamless; and the CD player is excellent. Everything you need in one smallish unit that is easy to control via the remote (there are even traditional tone controls). I'm very pleased with this. I bought it to replace a Teac all-in-one and I think the Denon just about comes out on top, especially in terms of the raw power it can deliver too, It feels like proper hifi but at a very reasonable price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Very compact with a great sound
I’m so pleased that I chose this Denon system. It’s stylish looking and has very useful features, including Bluetooth. I mated it to some small speakers and a Sony sub-woofer. The sound is very good but I had to turn the default bass to -3 to achieve the ideal result. The price of the Denon was very reasonable. You get a lot of value for money. It has greatly helped in my quest to reduce all visible wiring and cables in our sitting room.

Very impressed
Because I am downsizing,I changed some high end hi fi separates for this single unit. Paired it with floor standing Q acoustic speakers. Very pleased with the results. Especially the remote,no more kneeling on the floor to change records or CDs. Bluetooth brings a world of music and speech to my living room. An awful amount of quality in this little box. Overall a good buy!
The Hi-fi is compact and sounds really good with Denon Speakers, considering it's size. Bluetooth works really well and if you connect it to your phone, you can play any song on you YouTube, bonus! This is a refurb unit and the only minor comments are that the batteries supplied in the remote were duds and there was a very small scratch on the edge of the volume control. Overall a good buy, but the carriage charge is way to expensive and for the price charged you would expect next day delivery, excluding weekends (as that's normally more expensive than week day prices)Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Quality build and premium sound
The materials used are of premium quality and feel. I also own other Denon products. They pay particular attention to quality bass, that does not distort. Even at low volumes, the bass and detail are still superior to other manufacturers. Highs are tamed, but detailed. Mids are presentable, but using the supplied speakers, do not really shine. The unit itself is very easy to use with defined buttons on the remote for Tuner, Bluetooth or CD. Tuning and storage was very simple. The provided DAB/FM aerial was for me, inadequate due possibly, to my location . However, an amplified DAB/FM aerial soon solved the issue. My only gripe is the lack of provision on the remote to open or close the CD tray. This can only be performed using the button on the unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
