Gorgeous large book, very heavy with details if Eric’s testing of 55 Luftwaffe types. Signed for me in person at Duxford. I had the privilege to meet him a few times before he died. He still holds the record for the most aircraft types flown by one person. As new never been read, im just emptying my collection. As said large heavy book hence postage cost unless you pick it up.
A compilation of extensive articles by Eric "Winkle" Brown on German aircraft that he "test" flew both during and after World War 2. I regard it as a 'follow up' to Brown's autobiography "Wings on my sleeve" which must be compelling reading for any aviation "buff". A most remarkable pilot.
Eric Winkle Brown, who has just died, was a truely remarkable man reading this book his auto biography"Wings on my sleeve" and listening his interview on Desert Island Disks makes me reaise just how lucky we were to have men like him on our side at our time of greatest need
