Honeybees make decisions collectively - and democratically. He concludes that what works well for bees can also work well for people: any decision-making group should consist of individuals with shared interests and mutual respect, a leader's influence should be minimized, debate should be relied upon, diverse solutions should be sought, and the majority should be counted on for a dependable resolution.
A beautiful book well written and full of incredible detail about the amazing species the honey bee. Considering how detailed it is the writer has made it a fairly easy read with beautiful pictures to illustrate important points.
The book was good value, arrived in good time and in perfect condition thank you
This is an intriguing summary of Thomas's work to understand more about honey bees swarming from preparation to suitable nest selection. As somebody who doesn't read a lot of books, its an easy read, warmly written with a nice mix of facts and humour, but as a beekeeper its fascinating and reveals more details of these amazing little creatures. I'd recommend it to any beekeeper who likes learning more about their colonies.
Amazingly detailed and thoroughly researched this book is a delightful read, not only for beekeepers but for anyone interested in these fascinating creatures.
