May not be as well known as Star Ocean series or final fantasy but definitely matches these game series with in-depth character stories and a compelling story to follow and a lot of variety of areas to travel

After years of waiting, one of the best traditional JRPGs finally getting the backwards compatibility treatment. Now with the ability to install and play the game from 1 single disc on xbox one with No screen tearing and better frame rate. Xbox one is the best place to play. Lost Odyssey had notoriously bad rep on original release due to the game bricking the cream xbox 360 causing the red red ring of death. This was caused by the console streaming the data directly off the disc constantly causing the xbox 360 to seriously overheat. My xbox 360 died back in the day before i even got onto disc 2. Thankfully microsoft have put a great amount of TLC into the update on xbox one and the game now functions better than it ever did and is a much quieter experience ( the 360 disc drive used to sound like a jet engine during a playthrough before shorting out ) It is for this reason than the game has remained in the bargain bin for the last 8 years because people didnt dare buy it .Read full review

I'll start with the only real negative I have with this game and that's the combat speed, there is no 'auto' or 'repeat' option for skills so this can make battles a little slow sometimes , if you've played old school turn based RPG's before though this will be nothing new. As for everything else regarding this game its great, the graphics still hold up considering its age, the main story is typical JRPG cheese but with a twist that is little short stories you unlock as you progress through game. These tell the history of Kaim, once invested in the game some of these can really pull at your heart which is unique for a computer game. Considering you can usually get this game for under a fiver and you’ll get at least 40/50 hours of gameplay its defiantly worth a try.Read full review

It's a good game. It reminds me the Final Fantasy X and that's a good thing. The combats are interesting and challenging. The graphics are still pretty decent. In conclusion, it's a solid game!
