The game didn't work straight out of the box on a windows 7 PC. However, once all the updates were downloaded, it ran very well. The graphics are still pretty good compared to todays standards(it's still strangely relaxing watching the ocean waves ripple and palm trees flutter). The game itself is good with some great level design. It's also hilarious listening to the enemy trying to find you and the occasionally bad A.I shouting "Where is he?!" when told right in font of you. Loading times are still as long as I remember, which is a shame. Still, it's a great game, with plenty of action and some beautiful surrroundings. Defo worth a play
Great game of its day, now totally retro, but was the graphics benchmark of its day, and graphics still look good today.

Bought this original Far Cry game to relive gaming enjoyed back in 2005. Even though it's not automatically compatible with my Windows 7 Laptop there were patches easily found online which enabled the game. I even managed to get GOD mode going again (kind of essential in some later levels on a difficult game mode). If you've only played Far Cry 2 you've really missed out - see what the fuss was all about in this stunning sandbox landmark PC game.
Had this as a present years ago, disc got damaged so I bought a new copy, never get tired of playing this game, heaps better than Far Cry 2 although I enjoyed playing that as well, must keep a lookout for a Far Cry 3 bargain. Don't forget to download the patches though
It's a very good experience playing fair cry. I will recommend this game for the people who love action games. Nice.
