Nobody should buy a USED Modern Warfare 2 game, as when the product code has been registered with Steam, as it MUST be before it can be initially installed, it CANNOT repeat CANNOT be installed, let alone played by anybody else, even in single player mode, and even if the original installer uninstalls it or cancels their Steam account. The only exceptions are :- ============================================================== 1. If the original installer needs to re-install it on another PC, or due to a factory reset. ============================================================== 2. If someone who has already purchased from Steam the software licence to play the game (at £29.99), they can install the game from the discs and thus avoid having to download about 12Gb of software EVERY time they play the game. ============================================================ Some sellers will tell you that they will pass on their Steam account details and password, but this is illegal, and should not be accepted. I know all this information for a fact as I unwittingly fell into the trap and bought a used game. Fortunately, the seller was a good guy, and gave me a full refund when he discovered that the game couldn’t be played by anybody else. Below is an email I received from Steam when I was investigating this problem. ============================================================== Thank you for contacting Steam Support. Unfortunately, used CD Keys (whether resold or given by an individual or a store selling used goods) cannot be activated via Steam. If you have recently purchased this product, please contact the seller to discuss a refund or exchange. ============================================================== Steam is a Digital Rights Management organisation who prevent copying of CDs, DVDs and games. Black Ops is controlled by them too, so the comments above equally apply and probably all other games which must be registered with Steam.Read full review

The particuler game I purchased was Call of Duty; Modern Warfare 2, (used)I can't say if I enjoyed it or not because I could not use it owing to the fact the key code had already been registered to someone else's name and therefore could not be used again, I had reported this and the seller immediatly refunded my money
