The 4.57-cm Samsung internal hard drive is lightweight, weighing only 59 g, and low on power consumption. Being a ZIF hard drive, it is intended primarily for handheld consumer electronics and not for standard desktop or full-size laptop computers. However, the Samsung 80-GB hard drive fits into a variety of ultra-thin laptops, including the Dell Latitude XT D430/D420, the Sony X series, the Samsung Q1/Q1EX, and the Fujitsu U1010. The Samsung internal hard drive offers 15-ms seek times and 46-MB/s transfer rates. This hard drive includes enough storage capacity to hold the equivalent of about 20,000 songs or 100 DVD quality, full-length movies. Overall, the Samsung 80-GB hard drive provides a significant amount of storage space within a compact design.
