There are currently 2 types of cheap PWM controllers on eBay - this one has the advantage of have 4 off M3 screw mounting holes - it also seems to have a wider speed range compared to the other when used with my 3D printers cooling fan.
This isn't better than expected. It is good value for money and it does what its supposed to.
I use these devices to control low voltage motors drawing about 300 mA @ 6V. Not suer how well the device would cope at rated current, but then you should never run any cheap electronic device at its full rated output continuously.
I used to make something along the line of these myself. Not any more!! These work beautifully and are very small and neat. Ideal for controlling small electric motors at a very good price.
