I have to be honest this is a great edition to the bedside cabinet looks cool. It's easy to use and saves your charging port from wear. The only down side is it seems to slow down the charging time of my supplied charger and doesn't always give me a full battery overnight. It works through my protective phone case so no need to remove. The packaging all looked like original so can only assume these are genuine. Overall I'm for happy for the price good value for money.

This is very easy to use and looks good no fiddling around with leads and sockets etc. The only thing I would say is to remember that this does not come with a charging lead you have to use the one supplied with the original phone and it will have to be a 'fast charger' lead otherwise the actual unit will not fast charge, just a normal charge.

Nice compact device that is very easy to use. The main thing I do not like about it is how bright the blue light is on the front when it is charging and when the device is fully charged the light turns green and is just as bright. It lights up the whole bedroom so I have to block it with a pair of socks so I can sleep. I charge my phone overnight and use it for alarms and time etc so I cannot put the charger in another room . If these lighs were not there it would be perfect.

This product needs to be used with the new Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging power adaptor, that hopefully came with the phone when new. I think because it needs a higher power input to enable its fast charging capabilities. There are generic wireless charging plates available on ebay, which worked just fine with my old S3, but I found the S7 edge to be picky which chargers it would take power from. This genuine Samsung product can charge the phone wirelessly as fast as it can be charged with a cable (remember to enable 'Fast Charging' in the phones menu). I wore out the charging socket on my previous Samsung phones, so I'm happy to do without the cables now. I have one on my desk at work and one next to my bed at home. Samsung probably thought they were being helpful putting a status LED on this charger which is off when the phone is absent, blue when charging and green when charged, forgetting of course that the phone already has an LED for this same purpose. My problem with this is that the light is so bright that it makes it uncomfortable for bedside use. Not to mention the sound of the cooling fan in an otherwise silent bedroom... Its a great charger though, so I plan on recessing it into the bedside table to flush mount it invisibly.Read full review
