I had tried this club prior to buying it. It was taped up and hitting from a mat I liked the feel of it but I wasn't sure it was going to be added to my bag. I have had it only a short while but I find myself trying to find situations where I can pull it from my bag. It really goes straight (not something I am always known for doing) and even on miss-hits it gives me better yardage than one would expect. I love the look of it at address and I have but one small complaint in that the face appears to scratch somewhat easily. I am going to replace my other hibrids with Adams Idea Tech V3's even though my existing ones have performed exceptionally well. My Nickent 2H has been my favorite club for over a year but it may also be replaced. I have also been able to shape my shots with this club like I have never before. I would highly recommend this club to anyone looking to add stability and confidence to their shot making.Read full review
I bought this hybrid to replace my 4 iron and woo didi it make a difference. I can hit the ball farther and straighter. I have the V3 3 hybrid as well and I was able to drive the ball farther than my buddy using his driver. This is an excellent product by Adams Golf and it gives me more confidence than a wood or long iron as well as more distance. The only downside is it swings to straight, if you like to shape your shots you will need to try harder for that draw or fade because of how forgiving this club is.
Purchased this as a replacement for a hybrid (another line) I've had to replace a 'hard to hit' 4 iron. The Golf Digest review gave it pretty high marks so I was motivated to try it in a store simulator. Immediately, I knew the hit felt crisp and feedback from the computer indicated good trajectory. I purchased the actual club from ebay. Prior to playing the first time w/it, I went to the range, hit about 3-4 shots and was please. When playing I used it on a side-hill lie in the rough. . .gee I hit the green! Just know that when this hits the green it will release a little. Like it so much, I bought the 5 as well. This is my first experience w/Adams clubs. If I need another driver, etc., I'll definitely give Adams an 'audition'.
The jury is still out. If I make solid contact, the ball flies well.....but if I don't, well, you know the answer. I was advised that at my age (almost 72) and with my swing speed (about 82 mph) I should use a "senior" shaft, but I'm pretty strong and athletic, and I'm not sure that this shaft isn't a little too soft for me....time will tell. The club feels a little head-heavy, but it's quite attractive. I'm hoping I'm going to really get to like it.
The first thing I did when I received my hybrid was to have it cut down to the size of my 3 iron. I then went to the range and was 100% satisfied with my purchase. I love the setup of the v3 and the fact that it doesn't look like a fairway wood at address. This is a proper hybrid. Sounds great and the ball has amazing carry after it rockets into the air; awesome ball flight. Can't wait for summer to put this thing to real use.
I've reviewed the entire set, but this club was purchased separately. The 2h has a larger head than the 4h through 6h in the V3 set, so it looks a little more like a mini fairway wood. But it's easier to hit than a 3W and MUCH easier to hit than a 2i. If you struggle off the deck with a 3w or 2i, this club should give you 95% of your 3W distance and probably exceed that of your 2i. I can't speak highly enough about how very good these V3s are.
These are the best i have found. Look great, feel great, and results are even better. Long and easy to hit. Got the 3 and 4 hybrids thinking i might only keep the 3 but no way. I love them both. I have hit several from Taylormade and recently got rid of the TM Raylor which wasnt bad by any means but these Adams are the real deal. Better flight, sound, forgiveness. These will be in my bag for years.
Have a full set of these. This one in particular is my go to club. Always able to hit it, weight is in the head, super easy to hit and good feedback when struck. Too bad Adams is no longer around, swallowed up by Taylormade,

Excellent club, great looking at address and overall feel is very good. Shots are easy to hit and working the ball is possible as well. Much easier to hit than a long iron and works well for tee shots on position holes. Would definitely recommend to a friend or anyone else who is looking for a club that will inspire confidence on the course.
I have really been pleased with these clubs. I have a 7, 6, 5, and 4 hybrid model and they are all in my bag. I use senior shafts (I am almost 71 years old) and have found them very playable with these clubs. I have not tried all the new hybrids out there, but I have tried many, and these are the best I have found at a reasonable price now that they are a year old.
