For multiple speakers
I use it in a 32 passenger bus. 4 speakers are wired in "series-parallel" at 8 ohms. This p400x1 has a "birthsheet" which rates this amp at 598 watts (yes) at 14.7 volts battery level. Running at 4 ohms and driving 8 ohms speakers it has the power to drive this full-range system at more volume than i would ever use. This gives each speaker about 60-75 watts individually at 8 ohms. Note that it has 8 volt rca inputs so i have the latest preamp equalizer that has 8 volt outputs. I am installing a separate sub woofer digital amp by Alpine. I prefer mono full range rather than stereo because i want everyone to hear all of the music no matter where they are sitting. The speakers are 6.5 inch speakers with tweeters in enclosures. The subwoofers will be 10" p1 Fosgate Speakers. This is the way to set up a party bus! Oh yes, the speakers, all of them are attached to plates bolted to the underside of the seats. Great sound.

Loud and clean
This amp is a steal clean haven't even tuned it but it sounds way better than my hifonics amp that I had that was dying started to make popping noises out the speakers it didn't even make it a year till I started to have all kinds of problems with it.
