  • Excellent

Bought this as I have a very slow broadband speed being at the end of a long rural line. My service provider's router was giving a poor and intermittent connection dispite my many complaints. This device is brilliant! I had to spend some time on the setting up and tweeking with help from Google searches but all well worth it. No more fluctuations and drop outs. I can not expect a fast connection but I now have steady and reliable. I am still adjusting it for speed but am about 50% faster than the provider's modem already. The wireless connection is also considerably more powerful. Highly recommended. Oh yes, some reviews say it's appearance is more suited to an office than a home. This is a matter of taste. I know that some people prefere a small Klingon wardship sitting in their lounge but I like the Billion's functional appearance.

  • Very good unit..

Physically is solid built. Look sturdy and a little bit big compare to some other routers. I use this unit to bridge my DSL line to pfsense router. Capable of changing SNR value which is a good point. So far may dsl line running without hicups.

  • Not the prettiest - but very reliable

Not the prettiest router, especially with the aerial arrangement, but a solid dependable performer. I can't comment on some of the more esoteric facilities, which seem very comprehensive, but for my single WAN ADSL2+ connection it can't be beaten - it just never drops out, and provides the highest sync I've had. Wi-Fi is excellent, and gives a decent signal even in the garage, where other routers have failed. Unlike some routers I've had, it doesn't run hot.

  • Solid performer even in 2016

Compared to my ISP-supplied router this has vastly reduced disconnects & resets and even slightly improved transfer speeds on my slow and noisy rural line. Definitely a breath of fresh air, and can be picked up second-hand for less than you'd pay for an inferior modem new. The admin interface also offers many more features than most other routers, including a hidden option for tweaking SNR values for advanced users wishing to squeeze every last byte out of their connection. Get the newer model if you want the latest and greatest, but ADSL hasn't changed much in years and this still works a treat.

  • Excellent for a home network

I bought this as a replacement for my previous one which died after many years of service. It services both my cable and WiFi networks and works well.
