Ok for money but...
The basic setup is easy enough but the 3g connection is not hugely stable and drops out a few times a day on 3 in my area. Strangely the 3g internet will come back on eventually, sometimes hours later, but if the box is rebooted it generally comes back on immediately. Tried to (and still trying) setup a second router on WAN as failover with an alternative 3g connection to O2. Even though the second router (Huawei 3g router) can be connected directly to a PC and happily provides internet connectivity, I can't get it to work through the TP Link Wan port as a failover WAN internet connection. I am not looking to pay hundreds of £s to a technician to sort out the routing issues as these basic boxes are really supposed to be simple to setup. Not so it would appear in my case. I have scoured the internet and there are lots of folk who seem to experience drop-put issues on these boxes. There is a bit of information out there regarding hooking it up to a second router so will be trying that when I can next invest (waste) the time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

! have always used TP link routers but since i purchased the 3-4 g one i have really noticed the difference ,the WiFi serves 2 laptops ,a Kindle;tablet and a Kodi Pro TV box which on my 3g TP Link was not getting a good signal causing buffering, now with two signals taking over when one is down has corrected that problem. Easy to set up. Looks and feels of very good quality. Not tried mob connection but believe it would work as described. Used successfully as a subnet isolating the TV from data while providing Internet connectivity (isolated) in the sitting area. I have two separate dwellings using one each of these routers at both places. I like them because they are easy to operate, consistent operation, and moderately priced. I use an air card for internet service; just plug it in to the USB port and it's up and running, It's easy to network, and has operational range consistent with my needs. Reliable, but exact 4G dongle model required
Be sure to check the official tp-link supported dongle list. Only about 10% of the supported dongles are 4G. This router has 3 hardware versions, each with a different firmware and varying list of supported dongles. Caveat emptor, buy the correct 4G dongle based on matching its part code with the official tp-link dongle compatibility list. Cannot emphasize this enough.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
