This is a great router. Small and compact so it does't take up a lot of space.I found it a little tricky to set up with my VPN but thats probably just me being a novice. Once it was connected it works brilliant. Some things on my PC even run a bit faster. WI-FI signal is stronger than my sky router so other things in the house work better for streaming than they did before. I would certainly recommend this router. 5 star.

Flashed OpenWrt on this baby and I couldn't be happier! Using it as my 2.4 GHz AP. Maxes out the 1 Gbps ports just fine.

Coverage wasn't great, it wasn't as good as my old Netgear Range Master and cost more than twice as much. It was easy enough to set up, but the coverage let it down, so can't recommend on that basis. If coverage isn't an issue then its ok I guess, but for what it cost you should expect much better.
I bought it mainly to cover all my home with wireless network. unfortunately I see no difference in the coverage area compared with other similar equipments - and this is the mainly con of the device. Nevertheless, it's a great product, ready to accomplish all home user needs and the most of the requirements of small companies or offices. If from one side it does not cover more area, is true that works must faster when compared with other products. The second con is that does not allow to attach an external antenna to amplify the signal. Pros: speed, allow to define a guest network, allow to define wich speeds are available in the radio waves, no fails, no hangs even after power fails. And of course you pay for the brand :-)
The Linksys E4200 v2 makes a great upgrade to the original version and an excellent investment for those who need a fast, feature-rich, advanced, yet easy-to-use router for the home or even a small business. I bought it because it is sooo pretty and the wife likes it because it matches the table it sits on. Well worth the money. Best regards Vic Shone.
