The Hoover FH50220 is an upright vacuum cleaner incorporating the Max Extract DualV Nozzle Technology, which is designed to clean a variety of surfaces from tiled or sealed wood floors to carpets and couches. It uses pressurized cleaning and an automatic detergent system to loosen grime, then the Heated Cleaning feature pulls up the dirty water and releases hot air for faster drying. The wide double chamber nozzle with its Edge-to-Edge Cleaning feature power-washes surfaces with even suction. The Hoover FH50220 also uses the 60 counter-rotating brushes in the SPIN SCRUB 60 to surround carpet fibers and remove dirt at every angle. Almost a perfect 5 stars, but there are a few "minor" issues
Bad news first, but good news is coming. There are two things that kept me from leaving a 5-star review. First, when the dirty water tank gets filled with a lot of foam from the cleaner, it starts spitting foam on the floor. You have to stop and empty and clean the tank out. Second, the brushes are difficult to clean when the lint from the carpet gets in them. You could spend all day trying to get all the lint out. I finally had to use a soft scrub brush to scrub the brushes! That was about 85% successful. Now for the GOOD NEWS. The directions for assembling the machine, operating the machine and cleaning the machine are impeccable and easy to follow. The machine cleans GREAT and does a super job of removing the water out of the carpet. I would absolutely recommend this machine. (It arrived today and I have only used it once, so you should also know that.) :)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wouldn't have anything but a Hoover
I bought a Hoover cleaner about 16 years ago and wore it out. This one is such a nice machine. Easy to clean because parts snap off and on. No ore screwdrivers and rusty screws. It also really extracts the water well. I like the fact that I'm not mixing the cleaner with the water. This is my second Extract 60 Max and I can't say enough what a work horse this little unit has been. Does a good job.
I bought one of these a year ago for my mobile home in Florida and loved it. So now I bought another for my home in Tennessee. I had an older model that I bought at least 15 years ago and it didn't have the rotating brushes. This model works much better.
