Best All-in-One Super Zoom The newest one of all. The Contemporary The difference between 200, 250, 270 and 300 is insignificant, I have tried them all. The difference on the picture is insignificant but the precision is not, the sharpest zoom is the 200. As you know, the larger the zoom, the largest the possibilities of a softer picture. Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM Contemporary For Canon The most acclaimed all-in-one super zoom lens. High quality, features and affordability makes it a must have for any DSLR camera. This is the newest model of this lens with Macro, more complex, reduced size, improved close-up ability, fast autofocus, accurate and distinctly sharper. You got it all with this lens, from the distant far away subject to the nearest close up; from the widest scene to the closest detail. You will be able to photograph that far away tower with the diminutive clock as well as photograph the exact time in that clock, all from the same spot. And best of all, the lens is so little, you can take it anywhere anytime without having to carry several lenses. The 18-200mm lens is the best super-zoom you can find. Famous are the 28-70 and 70-200 but, even with those you will have to exchange lens every time you change subjects from close to far. Not the case with the 18-200, this is a zoom that covers everything, period. With this lens you cover wide-angle to telephoto, don’t need any other lens when you go out with your camera, save space and weight, but more important no need for changing lenses. With 18mm you can take the entire family in a room; with 200mm you can capture a bird that you almost can’t see. Exchanging lenses in the middle of shooting? By the time you find another lens, put it in the camera and start focusing again is too late. This is also a Macro, it allows you to capture very small subjects. You can do it all with these lens and it is small, beautiful and easy to take everywhere. Not to mention Image Stabilizer, you don’t need a tripod.Read full review
This lens really is an all purpose lens. It captures clean, clear photos from close up and afar. It can capture great depth of field with very smooth movement from zooming in and out and focusing. Another nice thing is that it can keep up with active photography, you don't have to treat it like fragile glassware. Great lens!

Fantastic all around lens for the price. Wasn't expecting the fastest lens for this price and zoom range, BUT it's solid and covers most of my daytime shooting needs.

This is a great lens for what it is cost. Sigma used a new design to its lens so that it is light weight and compact with 62mm filter size over its predecessor which has a filter size of 72mm and heavier.

Image stabilization, wide angle and a decent zoom, sharper than a kit lens, and solid build quality....paid $200 Canadian after shipping, and it's eliminated the need to carry three lenses with me every day so although this lens is a bit hefty, it's lighter and easier than three lenses!
