About this product

Product Information

This compact apochromatic ultra-telephoto zoom lens covers frequently used 400 mm focal length. It is the ideal lens for shooting sports, nature, wildlife, landscapes and other types of photography that frequently use this telephoto range. This lens uses one aspherical lens and three SLD (the special low dispersion) glasses for excellent correction of chromatic aberration. Color aberration in the secondary spectrum is compensated by using three pieces of Special Low-Dispersion glass (SLD), and making high-quality images a reality throughout the entire zoom range. The five-group zoom and rear focus systems ensure high performance stability and ease of use.A removable tripod collar is included as a standard component.

  • Awesome lens for a weak budget...

This lens require some internal configuring in the camera to get things moving, but once set, this lens rocks.

  • Sigma lens a pretty good deal

Manual focus only, works fine for astrophotography. Focus ring is sticky and fussy to get sharp at infinity. I'm getting some good images with the lens, overall am happy with it.

  • Image Stabilized

Be careful this is not an IS lens but for the price you'd not expect it. I have taken very sharp photos even though it is not IS. Most of them has been with tripod and pano's. Perfect lens for that.

  • This lens produced better contrast than a Canon.

This lens produced better contrast than a Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 lens, as shown by my calibration comparison tests at 8'. It is pretty heavy, compared to that lens. However, I think this is a good lens. The price was lower than other similar lens.

  • Sigma 135-400mm

Buyer beware, that’s different versions of this lens, older model not working with new Canon Digital body, needed re-chips to work with all aperture, other than that this lens are good quality, the 3rd picture before re-chips, after re-chip second picture show used aperture f14

  • Old lens. Good zoom. Dirtness on inner lens

    Focus ring has too friction
