PENTAX Pentax P 67 135mm f/4 Lens

About this product

Product Information

The Pentax SMC P 67 is intended for macro lens use up to 1:3. This Pentax camera lens is a very versatile lens that covers a range of general photography uses. A plus found in this Pentax SMC P 67 is that it is an optimal choice for portraits, landscapes and close-ups. The focal range on the lens is 135 mm and it operates ideally as a moderate telephoto lens. As with most Pentax camera lens designs, the 135 mm f/4.0 lens is coated with multi-coat technology. This greatly reduces unwanted reflections inside the lens and improves color fidelity. The SMC coating also significantly improves the image quality. The 135 mm f/4.0 lens is a manual focus lens which is appropriate for the precision required for macro, low-light, and portrait photography. Manual focus gives control over the narrow depth of field used in these close-up images. Overall, the Pentax SMC P 67 is a multipurpose lens that produces quality images in a variety of uses.

  • Pentax close up lens for 6x7

Very lovely lens for those looking for a lens that allows you to get closer up to your subject. The lenses for the Pentax 6x7, particularly the older ones frequently don't allow for close focusing distances. There are a few though and the 135 is one of them. Its called a macro but its not a true macro in the sense that it can't do 1:1 on its own, you'll still need an extension. Still, you can get much, much closer with it for things like portraits than you can with say the 105mm. All in all I'd recommend this lens for your arsenal as it provides a nice option/solution if you'd like to get a bit closer. And it very light weight as well.

  • Good quality optics and a solid build

This lens is great for portraits. One stop from wide open, it's already really sharp. The build is solid, as you would expect for such a professional lens. Not a macro though, despite the name, be sure you are aware of that before deciding to buy one.
