  • rock steady, solid, useful. and trustworthy. unlike cheaper shorter 'pods, that slide down if you lean on them. useful legs, (though not tiltable)

excellent...easy to use, but a bit heavy to carry as a separate occasional item. i will find a tube bag with sling strap etc. Although the legs are useful, they rattle in the tube when carrying, but sorted with a little tape around them. if using with a chair, its like a tripod, and you can let go. but as a high monopod, (im 6ft 1in, and it goes to eye level with dslr) then, its not the most useful feature. (legs) but its thick profile, and rubberised top part, means its grippable. and not cold feeling... It has strong clamps, for confidence. and best for me, is the undo and 'drop down' action, not needed to shake/pull etc, not easy with a camera on top. only thing i would like is a little swivel 'three footed' base, which i might add one day. to stop it sinking in soft mud. i got a good deal, with a jessops ballhead on mine. (all for £50) but i would say i got a good deal on just the 'pod alone,at £50 ....its very strong. looks pro too. i use mine with a 'frotto 222 swivel head. which adds to the weight! and gives me another 6 inches, for standing on steep banks. (in crowds) 10/10

  • Manfrotto monopod

I received this pre-enjoyed monopod only days after the company founder passed. I find it very well engineered and suits my purpose perfectly. He did a good job.
