Good, stable, no-nonsense tripod that comfortably handles most sensible 35mm film slr/dslr camera combinations. Legs extend and lock easily, while the centre column gives a measure of extendibility. Typical high Manfrotto manufacturing/design standards. Extremely stable. Takes a range of tripod heads, I use mine with a Manfrotto 141RC tilt and pan model

Used with a quality third party leveler and ball head. As good as you would expect. Not for heavy work.

This is by far the finest tripod I have ever owned. Everybody says these Manfrotto products are the best but there is no substitute for owning and using one. I read a lot of reviews and was expecting problems but have genuinely had none whatsoever. The engineering is nothing short of masterful and in my case the choice of head was equally awe inspiring. This tripod is fully equipped to be used in any field or studio application and looks and feels as though it will last a lifetime. Of course I have paid for that quality but I like nice things. The tripod sits so square and sturdy even at fullest extension and the facility to literally splay the legs out completely means that even photos taken at floor level stand a chance of being top quality. Highly recommended but expensive!
