I love the look of this phone (girly pink is good!), and I love the slidey top! I like that it is nice and small for pockets or handbags. I admit that I had some teething problems because I've always had Nokias before. The problems were particularly with texting but I have pretty much sussed it now. The camera isn't great but you get what you pays for. Apparently you can put music on it but I am 47 and that is something I don't really need, I don't think!! I bought it because the price was great and I knew the delivery time would be fast. My old phone had deceased so I had been using one of my sons cast-offs. One gripe - and it is probably my fault for being a dipstick - I can get the meerkat ringtone but not the meerkat text alert. Oh, and I do hit the browser button without meaning to. its perfect for me like pink and its easy to use its got all the features that i need its small and not so complicated and it affordable.
This phone still had the previous owners details and personal set up on it. If this does not breach data protection laws then the laws need to be updated so that it does.
The J600 feels well built but maybe a little too plasticky for some, the slide mechanism makes a satisfying sound and motion and doesn't wobble at all, a good start. Battery life seems fair although, as with many other phones today, start playing games and the standby time decreases somewhat. The touch screen buttons which some people may not be fond of arent as sensitive as on the E900, thankfully, but still respond to an easy touch. The screen leaves a bit to be desired, having a low resolution compared some of Samsungs better models. The menu design and functions are all the same as the rest of the samsung line up. For the price its a really sweet little number, shiny, sleek and sexy (not too fat either) and, compared to other new phones in the same price bracket, comes out right near the top. The Pink version is perfect for that special woman in your life (although the pink J600 is only avalable on O2) Overall, its a slim slider phone, with enough functions to keep the gadgetly minded happy and the fashion chics looking...erm fashionable! i recently won this item on ebay as i needed a cheap phone as my other broke. this phone has everything that your will ever need. has super mp3 player, radio games etc, and holds loads when you have a memory card to slot in. the colour of the phone is super as the blue really sets it off. (pink silver and black also available) the touch buttons are really good and make the phone look compact. internet is good on the phone also and you can access most sites on the internet no trouble at all. The only downside to the phone is that it is only a 1.3 mega pixel camera with no flash. but can take some good pictures anyway. if you have a digital camera the camera wont really be needed that much anyway. Overall you cant really go wrong with this phone, its cheap, stylish and has everything that you need available on the phone. i recommend it!!Read full review
