This is a telephone, beloved of reps (and my wife) when it first came out, yonks ago. After a little while, Nokia (stupidly, I felt) discontinued it and replaced it with others, fine for little girlie-fingers, but not so good for builders' suppliers or burly businessmen. The thing eventually wore out, and having several times accepted new phones from Orange Contract, I tried one of these. It didn't go well; - I didn't want a 2 megapixel phone-camera with no optical Zoom, when I had a 14mp 5x optical Kodak - well - several, and my wife could never get he hang of even the phone when she borrowed it. Fortunately, Hong-Kong to the rescue. By pulling old ones apart, and replacing many of the components with new, they have rebuilds of my old Nokia, pretty inexpensive and often coming with a new charger and a couple of batteries. Even with my abrasive handling, the life of the rebuild is reasonable - several years. I'm happy, I don't like a sat-nav, I don't often email pictures, all I really want to do is to use the phone as a phone and to send the occasional text to my step-daughter. For this, it cuts the mustard. If you have a favourite bit of obsolete technology which is dying, can I recommend a Hong-Kong rebuild - it's been the ideal solution for me.Read full review
I already own 3 Nokia 6310i phones, and have had 5 in total. It is without doubt the best and most reliable mobile phone ever made. I'm talking about just a mobile phone, and not a 'smart phone.' No, it does'nt have a camera, it was produced before any mobile phone had one. It does'nt have all the gimmicks of a modern phone, but it does have the best receiver/transmitter of any phone. It never drops a signal, and the battery is good. I have even dropped one in a puddle by accident, and after removing the battery, and drying it off, it worked perfectly, and still does. I only bought this most recent one, for spares. It's a pity that Nokia did not relaunch the model with a colour screen.
I bought this for my husband as he will not use any other type of mobile phone. He has a few of this model but they are fading so decided he could with a reliable one. He likes the simplicity, ease of use no music no camera no complications, and this one has a good battery. It also helps that we have a built in cradle in the car which only takes this model. Ten out of ten.
I bought this phone because I love the design of the phone and it is a business phone with good features. Even though its old its slim for its age. Good battery life and storage space. I want this for my basic use nothing too fancy. overall a very good phone.
best phone ever if you loking for just a phone,7 days battery life ,the best vintage phone ever, . Review: After having a number of different phones from different manufactures I have come to the conclusion that the Nokia 6310i is the best mobile phone that has ever been produced . I do a lot of travelling around the world and this phone has never let me down. I have noticed that this phone is used be almost every member of every WRC team and is fitted to almost every rally cars. So it just goes to show how tough and well respected this phone is within the world.
