Not Direct Talk... but a nice phone for areas whom use iDEN cellular providers.(Not USA)
Nice phone, compact. HOWEVER... even though the i530 User's Manual says you can use the phone as Direct Talk. Mine (NEXTEL VERSION) doesn't have the "Two-way Radio" feature. (RATS!!) I referred to the Motorola i530 User Manual before purchasing two of these phones in hopes of setting up direct talk. To say the least, I'm disappointed. SO... Going to donate the pair to a Missionary whom will be traveling to countries that utilize the network. I don't know how long the battery life is... I did order 8 smaller batteries... so whomever gets the donated phones will have plenty of battery power.
