About this product

Product Information

This large aperture telephoto zoom lens, incorporating Sigma's original Optical Stabilizer function, covers focal lengths from 70mm to 200mm and offers a constant aperture of F2.8 over the entire zoom range. The OS function offers the use of shutter speeds approximately 4 stops slower than would otherwise be possible. It makes shooting easy for many types of photography such as portraits and sports. Two FLD ("F" Low Dispersion) glass elements, which have performance equal to fluorite glass, and three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements provide excellent correction of color aberration. Super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting. The lens incorporates HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), ensuring a quiet and high speed AF as well as full-time manual focus capability.

    Sturdy, high quality lens

    This is a great piece of equipment. It works as it should. Very quick, quiet and sharp focus. It is extremely good in low light allowing the ability to maintain a decent shutter speed to avoid camera shake. It is heavy which makes it feel like the quality piece of kit it is. The padded Sigma bag it is packaged in is excellent quality. It could do with a physical manual to automatic focus switch. Other than a switch, I love it for my wildlife photography.

    Sigma 70-200 f2.8 ex dg os hsm canon fit

    fantastic sigma f2.8 70-200mm lens, bought this after having sold my canon equivalent f4 non usm lens and the difference is night and day with super sharp images, and a very fast aperture, there is quite a bit of weight in this lens and it does get heavy after using it for a few hours but nothing that a mono-pod wont fix would recommend.
