Have just read and really enjoyed this book. Having read all of the Railway detective series and loved them I wondered if these books would be a bit too much in the same vein. They’re not. Set in a different era and of course different characters, I’ve felt myself drawn in and have just ordered a couple more.

Excellent story line; one that you can easily feel as if you were there at the time. You get to know the charaters really well and feel their emotions and outrage. Looking at the story as a whole it seems that with the passage of time little has changed. It is a gripping storyline and well explained, it has a proper ending and leaves you wanting to read the next book. I found it to be great value for money and the authors name guarantees it to be a brilliant book. I would highly recomend this book. I found that I could have many discussions about the book mainly the difference between now and then.
