Amazing book made me laugh cry smile and get seriously angry over the way that the author has been treated, It shows in an in - depth way how the travellers have had to put up with especially what the young children are forced to deal with in the way of bullying and abuse in school and out of it, very serious but in a lighthearted way it manages to get its point through that gypsies and travellers are human beings and should be treated as such,
A look into another culture is good for you.

What joy this book gave me, it warmed your heart to get all these memories shared with you, a book that is very hard to put down once you start reading it, brilliant author, left you wanting more.
I loved this book ! I have read several Biography's with Romany roots and this one was heart felt memories and a glimpse into true Ramany ways. I particularly enjoyed the close family ties and the love that radiated from the grandparents and all the extended family members, it also showed how hard the life can be and not the romantic notion that some non romany's think that the life can entail. I could almost taste the stews, feel the sun or the ice cold weather, touch the animals, hear the laughter and tears........... and of course see that field full of butterflies. I would highly reccomend this book, it is suitable for all age groups.
A beautiful story quite genuine, bursting with captivating anecdotes carrying the reader through a little girl's journey of life. Wonderful biography. Quite enchanting
