On introduction back in 2012 the Google Nexus 7 was a pretty good piece of budget kit with a decent display, a fast responsive screen and almost everyone wanted one creating an initial shortage. However over time it became clear that much better faster tablets had eclipsed the 1st Gen Nexus 7 and it was time to move on.
