Welly manufacture their model 44035 in 1/43[?] Scale which represents an Aston Martin V12 Vantage in Red. However this diecast model if you are an adult / discerning collector may not be for you as it's undersize hence the [?] by the scale. Welly are well known for coming out with their range of 1/37 on average scale range of pull-back friction engined cars which make excellent toys but are not really for the adult / discerning collector despite having an interesting range of subjects. Well these are blighted by the fact that despite being marked as 1/43 Scale many of these offerings from Welly are nastily deceptive: The Bentley Continental for instance is closer to 1/48 Scale! This car too is 1/44 or 1/45 Scale in reality and not equipped with a pull-back engine: It's freewheeling. Welly do a pull-back engined version of this car too which is larger with opening doors: Obviously thinking 'toy' I'm inclined to recommend this as a better offering than this which has no opening doors and without a motor is hardly the most inspirational play-object for a younger child. The quality of this offering is fine and it's not blighted by small detachable parts which could present a choking hazard. But in terms of this being 1/43 Scale and appreciated by adult collectors ... No: You will end up wishing you had paid £1.43 for this as there are far nicer offerings of Aston Martins out there. So I'm sorry but this only gets a 6 / 10 with marks lost for dishonest marketing by Welly who should really know FAR better :o]Read full review

Purchased this for nephew aged 2+ This car is great car and is perfect for child play or for collecting on show! It is extremely well built and realistic, wanted this size as little cars could have little wheels become loose and cause a choking hazard but whilst this is a little larger it looks and feels like it will stand a good bash and being driven with the learning imagination of a 2 year old boy who adores his cars! Even though I state regarding smaller cars being choking hazards I would still keep an eye on any small parts on this car just to be sure for those inquisitive little bundles of Joy's mouth! Overall it's a brilliant car to play with and seems as if it will still be going strong when my nephew is a grown man in the future until he purchases a full size one or wishes Haha. Thank you!Read full review
