Bit fiddly setting up left and right end points and not sure about how accurate the engine temperature telemetry is without a known calibration point. IR temperature gun reads a few degrees different. The rest of the set ups are really easy with the touch screen feature. CR4T has more than enough adjustments features and 4 wheel steering mixing if you need it. Overall this combo is excellent and costs far less than some of its rivals

I really like this transmitter. Firstly - don't expect it to feel like a bank vault. It's lightweight and little plasticky, but the controls are smooth and well tensioned. I've bought it as one transmitter for a variety of yard-bashing models, rather than something for racing, so worth bearing that in mind when you read the review. You'll hear a lot of issues crop up on Googling this transmitter - people claiming there's control lag and that you can't pair multiple receivers without having to go through the re-pairing process each time. I can categorically say as of the firmare I received with mine, these are not issues. I've had an HPI Savage at the limits of where I could safely see to control it and didn't detect noticable lag. Obviously, this isn't a twitch-steering race car, so you might find different if you are using something that reacts in a more direct fashion. I've currently got it paired with two different models - both using the Absima 4 channel receivers for telemetry - and no re-pairing needs done. Switch a model on and switch to it's listing in the transmitter and that's it - paired immediately. Lots of functionality out of the box - I have the speed sensor and temp sensors set up now and they work well. The receiver also transmits battery power back to the transmitter for a live readout on the screen as well - all seems to work reliably with no glitching. All in all - if you can wade through the sometimes slightly obscure settings for the more complex stuff, it's a great transmitter for multi-model use. As I say, perhaps not a full on race transmitter in the durability stakes, but I'm sure it would work fine and there really are a lot of functions present on a relatively inexpensive set. I'd recommend.Read full review
