I heard Lee Siegel expressing interesting and controversial ideas during BBC series "Virtual Revolution". I bought his book and got the full picture of author's viewpoint. I like that he bravely speaks about the Internet as a huge delusion and disadvantage of modern society. Main idea: everything we do through the Internet could be successfully done without it. Although some facts and examples are not fully persuasive, author's effort to express his original point is appreciated. However, I don't think this book is suitable for referencing in academic writing. It has too much of personal opinion but little of facts. Some sentences are unreasonably long, and it seems like author is trying to present really complicated thoughts. In fact, it is truly hard to follow the logic sometimes. All in all, I would recommend the book for leisure reading, especially if you share author's opinion.Read full review
