I have a collection of Al Stewart albums, on vinyl, but I didn't have this one, being a cd means that I can listen to it anywhere in the house. Al Stewart is a great artist from the 70s. His mastery of the guitar is nothing short of brilliant.Listen to his YEAR OF THE CAT on this CD and then listen to the vinyl version, they are very different. The guitar work on it is very clear and precise. On the border is also superb. Its a great album to introduce yourself to Al Stewart as it has all his most popular tracks from different albums and will give you a taste of what he's all about.
i do love AL STEWART, i have listen to him since the seventies and loved his music ever since, i have not recieved this cd as yet but cannot wait to listen to it when it arrives. hopefully that willbe on friday cross fingers
I first saw Al Stewart in the last 60's early 70's at Sheffield, often at the Uni where I spent my spare time on a double bill with Roy Harper. Great gigs and great songs but I bought more of Roy's than Al at that time. Decided it was time to remedy this and found I could get some really good deals on Al's earlier work. This is a fantastic CD at a knock down price - 5* all round Marcus
Not one of Al's best albums. The title track is great, but much of the rest is filler. And I am a huge fan of his! shawsy
This is a great CD, I love the guitar work and the vocals. I lost my original CD of this and was very happy to get a replacement as it is one of my favourites.
