One of the beauties of ebay is you get to get ya mitts on stuff you didn't know existed and this Alice Cooper Boxset gave me a "cheshire cat" grin from ear to ear!!! As a fan of the Coop since I heard Schools Out in '72, this is top of the chain stuff. Beautifully packaged, the box is like a mental house door with Alice behind it, lift the lid and find the goodies within. A superb full colour booklet with rare photos and articles and 4 cds covering the man's career from as far back as the Pretties for you and Easy Action albums (which are great for historians although musically you can tell it's early days!... The track Reflected later was reworked into Elected.) Then we're off and running through classic cuts from Love it to death/Killer/Schools out/ Billion dollar babies, the underated Muscle of love and so on through each album right through to Trash and Hey Stoopid. On top of all these gems there are rare track like Slick black limousine which was originally released as a freebie flexidisc with the New Musical Express and various other unreleased demos too numerous too mention. If you're an Alice fan you need this in your collection, you won't be disappointed. Mark StoreyRead full review
essentially a thorough review of alice's career in a best of kind of way but with the addition of all those hard to get bonus tracks dotted throughout this neatly put together package there is a book in there with lots of info about each track and special moments in his career, well worth getting for fans and the cooper curious out there.
This is a serious must for any Alice Cooper fan! featuring rare songs and unreleased tracks. 4 cd's of devilish delights from the true "Prince of Darkness!" My favourite album is Raise Your Fist And Yell, Kane Roberts was the best guitarist Alice worked with, and its nice to here demo's and another song unreleased here from the 86/87 period. This covers the whole career of Alice from the beginning to the Rob Zombie Hands of Death in 2000. An Exellent treat!!
