first its came and looked quite nice the handle has good grain and is nice to look at seconds (Cons)it came very dull and has a bad edge profile u will need to sharpen it i recomend basterd file then 1000 grit then 3000 grit then 6000 grit then 8000 grit.the steel its self is brittle but quite hard is defenitly some sort of high carbon because of brittleness . but for 10 pound i recomend it u get what u pay for i gave it a sharpen took 30 mins. 4.5 out of 5

I was a bit surprised when it arrived in the post as it was wrapped in a plastic & nothing else. I would have liked it to have had a shield for the blade but overall it is not bad for the money I paid. I did have to sharpen the blade as it was not all that sharp.

The axe seems solid and sturdy but, on arrival, in need of sharping. It may be policy to only sharpen to a limited degree before dispatch and shouldn't really distract from its build.
