I have tried many types of additives over the years. I can't honestly say that I have noticed any results one way or the other. This stuff is different - IT WORKS!! And yes, I have noticed a difference. I use it in my Volvo V70 D5, (119,000 miles) and the performance has improved without any doubt. MPG is better, acceleration is better, and the engine sounds a lot better, so there is definetly something going on!! I'm using it every 5000 miles or every 6 months whichever is earlier, this will be my third bottle that I have just put in. I used to have the 'cold morning flat spot' syndrome but that seems to have disappeared as well. Also no plumes of exhaust when accelerating hard now. All in All a good product which I'll be using again without any doubt.

I used Cataclean diesel prior to using this, Cataclean was half the value and i felt the difference within a few days of using the car. the engine before smoked and was rather loud as it was knocking on the wrong side of 250,000 miles, I brought Archoil as all the reviews i read looked very good. in my personal opinion for smooth running Cataclean DPF Cleaner is a better choice, and made more of a noticeable difference, however i do feel the Archoil has helped reduce the smoking down to a minimum under load, but for the cost of the product i don't feel this justifies the cost against 2 bottles of Cataclean

I stumbled across archoil a few years ago and would highly recommend it. I used the original ar 6400 d on a bag 1.9 PD engine which use to leave a cloud of soot where ever I went and it cleaned it up where other products failed. I've used it on an old 1.4hdi citroen with 148,000 miles on the clock it cleaned up the injectors and when the injector seals failed the mechanic remarked at how clean they were so the original injectors went back in. I also periodically use it on a Renault 1.5 dci k engine with a fap this has 60k miles on the clock and has never had a fap problem despite primarily only short runs. With the vag I was able to compare before and after emissions and all measured diesel emissions were significantly reduced. I would recommend using annually a couple of fill ups before the MOT.Read full review

First of all, my car is getting on. It's a 2003 Vauxhall Astra Estate 1.7TD. I'm a motorcyclist at heart so the car is for doing the shopping and taking the family out. It's reliable, with 167000 on the clock. Now lots of go faster stuff for cars is what's called Snake Oil. Basically it doesn't work. Of the few that do, Redex works a bit ( but not a lot ) I've tried a few products over the years and I tend to sit in the skeptical camp if the truth be known. So I came upon Archoil AR6400-D MAX Pro Diesel Engine Turbo DPF CAT Cleaner Concentrate Lots and lots of reviews says it works. Mm. well they would, wouldn't they, if they'd just forked out £22 for a bottle and it ended up being about as much use as a chocolate teapot ! You wouldn't tell your friends you'd just fallen for another lame duck. My girlfriend ( who drives a much sportier diesel than me, ) borrowed my car for an afternoon and said, "Your Turbo is either dead or it's rubbish" She was right. I'd simply got used to less and less power, slowly and insidiously over the last 4 years of ownership. OK, I'll splash and and buy a bottle. Did it work ? YES. 150 miles later and I'm willing to go to Court and say, Yes. It works fine. I noticed the difference from 50 miles in. The turbo has come back to life and I can clearly feel it kicking in and doing it's job. The car has been looked after in every other aspect. In 4 years I've done 60,000 trouble free miles and it passed it's MOT 3 weeks ago. It was just lacking power. It's now got that power back. I don't like throwing money away, and for once I've found a product that actually works well. A Very Good Buy. Kevin Savage Accrington.Read full review

Archoil AR6400-D.. wonderful stuff. I recently bought a diesel x type Jaguar that would go into `limp mode`without any warning, sometimes when I started the car, & others when I changed gear from 4th to 3rd. My local garage changed the EGR valve but still no better, So, being a bit sceptical but not wanting to spend even more money on garage bills I tried a bottle of Archoil, The results were great, no more limp mode on start up, & better MPG, well worth the money, I now keep a spare bottle in the shed ( just in case)
