bought this turntable as a low cost replacement for my old hi-fi turntable, after it failed. I still have a number of LP records that I want to play or record and wanted something to enable me to do that. The turntable is very easy to use with 3 main control buttons: Start, Stop & Raise/Lower. Start fires up the turntable and sets the stylus down accurately to start playback. Press Stop at any point and the stylus lifts off and returns to its park without any fuss. Raise/Lower allows manual positioning of the stylus on the record and is easy to use. The LP60 also has a 33/45 speed selector button on the front and a centre sleeve if you wish to play 45’s without a centre hole. My only criticism is the lack of an indicator light to show whether the power is on. I don’t know if it uses any power when not operating so I turn it off at the plug to be sure. This is probably sensible anyway!. The turntable can operate in two different modes and these can be selected by a toggle switch on the rear. The first mode is normal LP play when connected to the RCA Phono plugs on your amp. The second is to digitise recordings when connected directly to a PC using a USB type cable. Both cables come supplied with the turntable. To make a digital recording you need some software like Audacity which is also supplied, although I upgraded it to the latest version. Audacity is freeware so no cost is involved. There was also a printed manual which was reasonably clear. I found this turntable very easy to use and the sound perfectly adequate (although I do not claim to have super sensitive hearing!). I think it is excellent value for the £110 cost and would recommend it to anyone looking for a basic deck that is easy to use and produces decent sound at a reasonable price. Obviously, better decks are available, but for a much higher price.Read full review

Whilst I am aware this brand is well thought of, I was sceptical due to the price. Having looked elsewhere and found similar products for a lot more I want expecting a lot. It arrived on time and I am amazed. So way to set up, the sound is amazing and I could not be happier. I truly believe I have got the bargain of the year. This is a great starter kit and will last me for many years. I am truly satisfied.

I found it easy to assemble ,having only the belt to put on. The only thing was, the software can be hard to understand, you need to read it through a few times. The magnetic cartridge gives a good account of it,s self. Soft touch controls work very nicely, (speed and start/stop.) It looks smart also. All in all I recommend this machine.

I am very pleased with my purchase. The AT-LP60X is one of the more affordable turntables out there, but it is amazing value. The quality is great, no complaints, easy to assemble too. The Edifier speakers that came as part of the package are also excellent value, the amount of bass that can be dialled in is impressive. I chose the maple ones to go with my furniture, the package looks really good. All in all, if you're looking for an affordable turntable I would recommend this package.

I would be surprised to find a better turntable for the price. I paid £60 for a refurbished model, which is less than most of the other entry level turntables out there from less reputable brands. The product looks and feels well made. Sound quality is superb . If you're after a budget turntable don't waste your time with your Ions or your Crossleys - this is the one you need.
