The "mm" size labelling is great, by the supplier. You don't have to squint around for the machined in figures. Wish I had this sort of set many years ago rather than crying a thousand tears at not being able to do jobs with the "right" tools and making do with inferior products.Great value, all have a go mechanics should have a set.. Just like every decent mechanic would. !

First of all, it is my fault that when I saw impact sockets, my mind jumped to this set being made with Chrome Molybdenum (Cr-Mo). In fact, the description did state it was made with Chrome Vanadium (Cr-V). Difference between the two is: Ch-V will shatter if you exert force beyond it's limit. So not exactly an ideal type of impact socket. Then for the sockets themselves. The walls were kind of thin. Take the 18mm socket as example: This set: Wall thickness between the square drive and outer socket 3.8mm, the hex to the outer wall 2.25mm My real 18mm impact socket: 4.5mm, 3.15mm. But is still better then my cheapest Cr-V: 2.75mm, 1.54mm - which I broke with my breaker bar at around 150 ft pound. So if you use this on electrical impact wrench, it should be fine (since the torque isn't that big). If you were going to use it on air tools however, this set is not recommended.Read full review

Had limited use so far and not under impact driving (yet) as I bought the set to have six point, half inch drive, sockets to remove a lower control arm on an eighteen year old car - highly corroded. Only possible downside, the sizes are etched, rather than stamped, on each socket - may not be a problem at all!! Only time will tell.

This product is of excellent quality and sold at a very good price. Delivery was quick. The 6 point sockets hold the nuts/bolts much tighter than 12 point sockets can do. This makes the removal of tight or rusty nuts/bolts very much easier. I have already used the socket set and am very pleased with it and the neat storage box. For this price the socket set is well worth keeping in your tool kit just in case.

Haven't used all sizes yet, but the ones I have used have worked flawlessly. I wasn't expecting much for the price paid to be honest, but I have been pleasantly surprised at how good they are. Sometimes I buy cheaper tools if I don't think I'll be using them frequently, and then I regret it because they aren't fit for the job, but not on this occasion. Can't actually see why anyone would pay more. I would recommend these to a DIYer and professional alike. However, I don't think these are chrome molybdenum. They look more like chrome vanadium coated with gloss black, so maybe not suitable for industrial work.
