Although it was very easy to set up , initially I was having very poor performance. I thought the product must have been faulty but I tried using a different wall socket in the same room that I wanted to place this and job done. Works great now. I used to have a linksys powerline but every 3-5 days the performance drops to about 60% and I ave to restart it for it to be working properly again. After a few weeks of using this powerline I've had no such problems. Great price and great performance. Can't really ask for anything more!

I recently upgraded my Plusnet router as I now have fibre broadband. Although my speed increased to near 50mps I could no longer receive the weak signal I had before in my attached garage where I have my internet radio. The wifi repeater that previously provided the signal now didn't, don't know why but I saw an article on the internet about Powerline WIFI. I bought the Powerline 500 on Ebay and plugged one into the power outlet near my router with an ethernet cable provided (on an extension lead multiplug) and one into the outlet in my garage that is on the house ring main. In truth I wasn't expecting much as the house electrics aren't brilliant so after pressing the WPS connection button and running down to the garage to press the button on the other one bingo! all lights lit showing connections OK. I found the wifi signal on my computer I took into the garage, entered the password test and connected. I ran a speedtest and am amazed that I have the same speed as my router at 51mps. The old repeater only ever gave me a max of 38mps. Cant praise these highly enough and wish I had bought the kit with three units. BUY THISRead full review

Very easy set up. No pass through power connection so needs a double socket close to the router to be usable (one to drive router, one to "inject" internet). We used the unit to push a data connection to an outbuilding/workshop. It does not appear to be effected by power transients (start up/shut down of power tools for example) as far as we can tell. A good value interim solution to setting up internet access at a distant location, will replace with a Cat 6 link eventually but this got us out of a bit of a hole!

Just followed the instructions and works perfectly. Using it to get WiFi out in a summer house in garden. So simple and so effective.
