A MUST SEE FOR ANY BTCC FAN.I Love watching the British Touring Cars Championship seeing all the different makes of cars that enter like the Honda Integra,Vauxhall Astra Sport Hatch,MG ZS and the Honda Civic Type R.It was great that Giovanardi won 2 races in his 1st season his 1st victory at Knockhill was his 1st victory and Vauxhalls 100's victory,Jason Plato(Seat Leon) was up his usual tricks during the season battling with Matt Neal.Matt Neal finished 27 of the races this season and he also survived alot of shunts 1 of his shunts was in 2nd race the Knockhill meeting where Matt Neal(Team Dynamics),Jason Plato(Seat Leon),Mike Jordan(Honda Integra) and 2 vauxhall Gavin Smith and Tom Chilton where involved in the accident Giovanardi (Vauxhall Astra Sport Hatch)won that race Vauxhalls 100's win also David Pinkney (Honda Integra) finished 4th and Jason Hughes (MG ZS)finished 5th (both not front running cars) there best results that season also 1 of my favourite drivers who isn't a front runner Mark Proctor (Honda Civic Type R) had his best result of that to by finishing 7th promoted to 6th because Darren Turner (Seat Leon) got DQ from 2nd place for being underweight.Mike Jordan who's the oldest driver on the grid that year managed to win the last race in Mondello Park in 2006.James Kaye(Honda Civic Type R) had his best ever finish in the BTCC that year by finishing 3RD at Oulton Park in the 1st race of that meeting.my favourite race of 2006 would have to be I started to follow the BTCC in late 2001 and ever since then I watched every season after that.Read full review
I purchased this DVD as I have really got into British Touring cars in the past 18 months. I have been to see them a few times at different circuits and wondered what all the action was like before I became a fan. I went to see the last race of 2007 and then saw an advertisment of a DVD summing up the years highlights, victories and crashes. That DVD showed 7 hours of action and this DVD I bought shows 4 hours. It was great to watch so I recomend it to anyone who likes exciting car action :)
Yet again another great product from Duke, Excellent picture quality and commentary straight from Tv coverage, At 4 hours long everyting is covered with extended coverage for Knockhill and Donnington. A must for all Touring Car fans and although the BTCC is not as exciting as it has been in the past still extremely close good racing thoughout. Also reccomended WTCC 2006 review.
If you like touring cars and looking back at the cars and skills of the past drivers it for you.
