I have fond memories of this relatively recent sitcom and thoroughly enjoyed seeing it again. There was the odd episode that I had missed so that was especially good. Gwen Taylor is a national treasure and very under used now that British TV has allowed the classic sitcom to die. Her comic timing is brilliant. Excellent ensemble cast support her brilliantly , especially Sam Kelly as her long suffering but supportive husband. Sherrie Hewson is , well as always, Sherrie Hewson ...but she is fun. The comedy is not subtle and a lot of it is slapstick but laugh out loud funny. If this is your scene then you will love it. As usual with Network DVD there are no sub-titles. As this is extremely visual and Ms Taylor has a loud voice then very little was lost . I do urge anyone who is hard of hearing to let Network know how bad it is that they disadvantage the hard of hearing and deaf by failing to put sub-titles on . This particular product is recent enough for sub-titles to have been used when it was on TV ....why can't they just use those?Read full review
