The ant-scald thermostatic limiting button is excellent for preventing the water temperature from rising above 38 degrees C - although if you want very hot water then it's easy to depress the red button to hotter settings. Does what it says but, it has the trademark sign "ZOGIN" in 20 mm high letters etched into the polished surface, right in the middle of the bar, which ruins the beauty of it. Although it does what I wanted, I am very disappointed with the appearance. I could have returned it, but we would have to have waited for a new one, and we needed the shower to be replaced asap.

Having shopped around trying to get a replacement thermostat for inside our shower control, we discovered that the part costs way more than an ENTIRE new shower set including mounting bar, head and hose. I am delighted with this shower bar, which was cheaper than all other options and did not involve me throwing away or finding space for unwanted extras. It would have got 5 stars but it's a bit gaudy compared with the more elegant one it replaced. That's me being really fussy though TBH. It's great! Took 10 minutes to fit and the shower was back good as new. It had been losing pressure for a year and I didn't know why. These thermostats wear out, it seems. I know what to do about it now!
