I purchased 2 of these for my front deck facing my waterfront on Lake Letta here in Avon Park Florida. Theay serve the purpose very well and I am 70 yrs old and weigh 234 lbs. They are easy to assemble if you closely follow the instructions. Look at the illustrations carefully. They are quite sturdy and the finish on them seems to be fairly water repellent. If you want you can refinish them when soiled or worn. I have in the past built some of these, however it is quite time consuming and labor intensive to build from scratch. I don't believe you save much money by building from scratch if any at all. These are well designed and go together easily and extremely comfortable. I believe you will be very happy with your purchase. Your mileage may vary.

I ordered these chairs to replace some resin chairs that always seemed to break after a few years. I thought a wooden chair would last better on a porch out of the weather. These chairs arrived and had to be assembled, and that was no problem. The issue is these chairs are small, and lightly constructed. When ever an adult sits in the chair, the first comment is "I'm not sure if I can fit in this thing". It appears to be child sized, and although the models looked good at 90 lbs and 5'0 in the chair, when a 6'3" Texan at 225 lbs sit in this chair, the chair looks and feels very small. The construction of the chair and wood sizes is questionable. For example, the arms are1x4 planks with a few drywall screws holding them on. If you pressed on a arm getting in or out of the chair, it would break. Even the wood in the back and seat is so thin it deforms under pressure of your body. The design overall is excellent, the weight of materials is on par with a chair rated for about 100 pounds. If they would sell this exact same chair and make the lumber reasonable in thickness and weight, I would have given it 5 stars. This is not the weight of Adirondack chairs you see at restaurants, beaches, or in commercial locations. Look for the pictures with people in the chair for a perspective on size, and then note how small the models are in the photos. The price was good, and I got what I paid for.Read full review

The chair was smaller than I expected and had some problems with putting it together. Didn't match correctly in all places. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE COMPANY POLICY. I bought two of these and was going to send one back. The company got right back with me right away and gave me credit on the chair. They also said that they did not want it sent back, just donate it. Would buy from them again. Good company values. I was concerned with how much it was going to cost me to send something this big back. Thank you again.

Decent chairs, comfortable, good design. The only fault I can see is the material they're made of may not withstand harsh environments so when you bring in the dog for the night the chairs should come in too to get some longevity out of them. I've rated them as high quality, I wish there was an OK option for the review, billed as light weight it may be another way of saying the wood it's made out of may not last long, only time will tell.

I am a large person and the chair does support me well and I fit in. Very comfortable. Some minor difficulty assembling due to hole alignment. My only dissatisfaction was that it appears to have a light stain and sealer coat. Our weather is a bit difficult for outside furniture. So I applied Thompson's Water Seal to make a bit more weather resistant.
