It's interesting that this film was produced quite a few years ago and yet we have the series Killing Eve on TV in the last year or so (season 1 and 2 done and season 3 next year). Primarily what pulls you along is the developmental relationship between the two female central characters and of course that is exactly the situation in Killing Eve. The two leads are both interesting and the film combines a lot of different things not just drama, but also humour and the characters are well drawn and you are drawn into their emerging relationship. The story telling is first class. What also makes great films is supporting characters and the quality of their acting and Black Widow provides this as well. Locations are made good use of and help bring the story to it's final conclusion. It is a really excellent film and you see different things every time you see it. Excellent.Read full review

All I can add to the previous reviews is to say that the movie is in full widescreen and the image quality is excellent. It upscales very well on HD players. As an aside, how many movies can you name that features a live erupting volcano as a backdrop ? All in a days work for Theresa. Also its great to see James Hong as the sleazy detective on Hawaii. This man must have one of the longest acting careers in Hollywood, still working today. Bravo !

An excellent thriller that keeps you watching right to the end. I saw this at the cinema when it first came out and had to have it in my DVD collection. Debra Winger plays an investigator who notices a connection between the deaths of rich men who die shortly after their marriage. She pursues the 'black widow' and eventually... You need to watch it to find out.
