Interesting was this film, as someone who has owned and watched every version of the original I sat down to this with high hopes and excitement of a thoroughly entertaining evening. At the end of the first viewing for which I confess I skipped through parts I was somewhat disappointed, it seemed absolutely nothing like the original apart from some musical similarities and of course the spinner. I consigned the disc to the back of my drawer thinking that I would probably never bother with it again. Anyway after a couple of days I thought, hey let's give it another go and proceeded to watch it a second time and this time all the way through and on this viewing I thought to myself , ' do you know what, this film has got something' so I watched it a third time and grasped upon the story so much more and also appreciated the quality of cinematography which on this blu ray was quite superb, yes, it can be a little dark in places but watching it during the evening with minimal lighting I don't think that this creates too many issues. All in all a good film to escape in to but not quite as surreal as the original but who knows in twenty years from now this version could attain a cult status like it's long before sibling.Read full review

This is the best film ever and you will enjoy it as I said so. eBay has told me that I must be specific so if I must be... the sound in this film is superb, it really captures the focus of the viewer/listener and creates a full feeling of immersion. The film uses the theories of Michel Chion (whether intentionally or not) to create a strong soundtrack that adds value to the visual elements of the film. 10/10 fantastic film.

Have got quite a good surround sound system even very good and this movie for me had pretty much everything, some lovely low lfe base, loved the mixture of good thumps basey bits and softer quieter scenes great combination movie for me, love this film well made great visuals would recommend
