I have written this review after using it to mend one hard plastic item. Note that this is not a glue which "melts" the 2 plastic surfaces to form a "weld". You let the glue go off until almost dry, after which it is like a tacky contact adhesive. This initially helps you to stick the 2 plastic surfaces together. The majority of the glue then evaporates and leaves behind what is like an epoxy bond. Consequently, you have to use a fair amount of glue because the majority evaporates off and you need quite a bit to make it strong (so bear this in mind). For example, I only put it inside a thin break, but after 12 hours of drying, it was not strong enough. So I partially broke it again and put some more glue inside and on the outside of the break and it is stronger now. If I waggle the piece, the break still has a slight flex to it however. On this example alone, it is comparable to Superglue as superglue would also have had difficulty in gluing the thin plastic break that I had without also being built up on the outside and it would likely also be susceptible to flexing.Read full review

I bought this in the belief that like the original Evostik hard plastic superglue it would stick the kind of plastics shown on the packaging , wrong!. Bostiks Tech Support are under the impression that it is a cyanoacrylate adhesive , the glue in this tube is acetone or solvent based and is more like normal Bostik contact adhesive which is less than half the price of this product
