I would have preffered not to have to remove the circuit board and electronics to install the battery, and the end stoppers a bit poor, screw top might be better could do with better design on those points, but it worked ok and I even tested it by calibrating some the brake fluid adding water to check when the lights changed, for the price its not bad

Unfortunately the battery supplied was corroded, easily replaced with a new AAA battery. The suppliers refunded me the price of a new battery. There was no mention in the instructions about removing the protective cap on the end of the device. Not easily seen as the colour perfectly matches the body of the device. The device works, but is too wide to gain the required access to all types of fluid reservoir. It worked fine on my motorcycle, but I could not insert it into the fluid reservoirs of our two cars.

My Jaguar dealer told me that my XF needed a brake fluid change after a couple of years. This was quite expensive ( for them to do it ), so before paying out I bought a Brake Fluid Tester and checked the fluid myself. It was simple to do - just take to top off the brake fluid reservoir and dip the device in. A GREEN light. This meant it was AOK. Full of enthusiasm, I then went around the rest of my (5) cars and tested them too. Green, green, green, RED. Wow, I was surprised, but on taking the fluid out you could see it really did need a change. So buying this device saved me a lot of money on the Jag, and possibly saved me an accident in the car that really did need a change. Good value.
