Another quality printer at a reasonable price from Brother. They have a knack of providing excellent home office equipment at a fair price. They make laser printers affordable. Avoid being ripped-off on printer inks. If you avoid the cheapest stuff, you can get excellent quality prints from using mid-price toner cartridges. I've used a Brother B&W laser for many years and bought this colour printer to replace my old Epson colour laser. Quite a compact unit - bigger than a B&W laser but much smaller than the Epson and HP lasers I've had before. This is an excellent colour laser, and comes with both wireless and network cable connections. Duplex printing is built in! Includes AirPrint and Mopria. (Note this is not an "all-in-one" - there is no document scanner - it is a printer.) A bit fiddly to set up on the one-line display but you only have to do this once. The software driver has all the options you will need for whatever you are printing. I'm very happy with this printer.Read full review

I was fed up with having owned a series of unreliable, plasticky and slow inkjet printers that get paper jams all the time I wanted a printer as reliable and quick as the laser printers at my work. This laser printer from Brother is a great choice and unbelievable value for money. I highly recommend it. The Good ————- Looks and feels like a professional piece of office equipment rather than a home printer. Superb build quality, unbelievable for the price. Proper paper tray like a professional printer so no paper pickup problems. Does double sided printing if required. Supports Apple AirPrint, google cloud print and the print speed is fast. The Bad ———— Only complaint I have is that setting it up on my home WiFi was not easy. It relies upon you having a WiFi with WPS, which my google mesh WiFi network does not have (as they rightly claim it is insecure). So you have to fiddle about with the settings menu to configure it first time and choose your WiFi SSID and enter the password. Once done it’s easy to use. Read full review

I got this printer as an upgrade from my old 3150 model which broke down after 6 years. Currys had the best price on the internet at the time. Other outlets were £30-50 more expensive The printer is easy to set up and can print directly from a phone. It seems to be quieter than the 3150 albeit the print quality is more or less the same. Toner cartridges are certainly more expensive. I could find after market cartridges for about £6 for the 3150 but it is going to cost me more than £10 for this one.
