I've been considering building my own PC for some time & wanted a straightforward,no nonsense guide. This book answers most of my questions in an easily understood way, even though it's a few years old!As yet,I've not bought any other books on this subject so can't compare it to any others, but,in common with other Haynes' manuals I've bought,it is quite thorough & I'd recommend it to anyone.
I am loking to use some computer parts I have from a recently defunct computer. Although I have stripped down & built up computers before I just wanted to be sure I was doing everything corectly. This book is just what I needed.
Although the book was a bit dated it was still relevant. It was clear and concise with many pictures. It certainly helped me update my computer & move it from one case to another
this book saved me a fortune and i am a dinosaur when it comes to electronics of any kind but it is so easy to follow i would recommened this book to any who are thinking about buying an off the shelf computer Do It Yourself. Thanks Kyle. David.
